ATTITUDES, BELIEFS & PERCEPTIONS

A combination of thoughts and emotions over time make our attitudes. 

Repeated attitudes develop automaticity. Belief is created by combined repeated attitudes. 

Beliefs are based on multiple past experiences (thoughts & emotions), more deeply hardwired into the brain, and this makes them harder to overcome. 

Perception is a combination of related beliefs. Not present-day evaluation, but past experiences. 
In order to change perception, the subconscious must be made conscious.

Start with changing your reality. 
What beliefs do I currently hold that may be holding me back?
Re-frame these beliefs into more empowering ones. 
Heightened emotion must be utilized with an empowering belief for secured adoption.  
Belief adoption is more than just an intellectual process. 
This will be uncomfortable at first; allow your biology some time to adjust.

Out-Condition your Environment.
You are susceptible to relapse in the same environment you create your negative attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions in. Your chemistry is connected to that external situation (think Pavlov’s Dogs). You've been conditioned for this to be true, so you'll have to condition yourself to change your behavior(s) according to those circumstances.

Overcome associative conditioning by consciously choosing your thoughts and emotions before encountering the environment. Practices like meditation can assist in this operation. To out-condition our environment, we must be extremely intentional about the power of the new belief and its associated memory. 
The emotion tied to memory forms long-term memory. 
Continuing this practice overwrites your past, rewiring it all over time.
